If you’ve spent any time diagramming pool shots, you know the difference between a tool that gets out of your way and one that fights you. The Pad has always been about turning the table in your head into something you can share, study, and argue over with your crew. This latest round of updates is about speed and precision when laying out a shot. Here are four new features currently available on ChalkySticks.com, making their way into the app soon.AutodragSelecting a ball used to be a two-step affair: tap to select, then move. The community told us they wanted that to be faster, so now you can just grab whatever is closest to your click and drag it. No selection step required. This is most useful on desktop, where it cuts out the extra click. It works on mobile too, though tapping there is already smart about picking the ball nearest your finger, so the time you save is mostly on the desktop side.Marquee and Group SelectionSometimes you need to move more than one ball at a time. Hold shift and drag to draw a marquee around as many balls as you like, then move the whole set together. It’s the quickest way to reposition a rack or shift a whole section of the table at once.On mobile, where shift-dragging isn’t always practical, there’s a second path to the same result. Press and hold near a cluster and the Pad selects the entire group for you. Two ways in, depending on the device in your hand.Better MasseDragging masse lines is more reliable now on both desktop and mobile. You can autodrag the line into whatever curve the shot calls for and trust that it lands where you meant it to. And if you want a straight line again, just delete the ghost ball and draw a new one.Snap to GridThe grid system is more capable now. You can define your own subdivisions, and a new snap to grid feature keeps your object balls aligned exactly where you place them. It only applies to object balls, so your ghost balls and arrows stay free to move wherever the diagram needs them.Diagram Your Game with ChalkySticksThese updates are about getting the picture out of your head and onto the table faster, whether you’re sketching a safety, planning a runout, or settling a debate at the rail. The Pad is part of the full ChalkySticks experience, alongside venue discovery, the Trainer, ChalkySticks TV, and more. These features are currently active on the website and will be making their way into the app soon.Download the app and spread the word:iOS: ChalkySticks: Find Your FeltAndroid: ChalkySticks on Google PlayWeb: chalkysticks.comRack ’em up.
